WhistlePig 30 Year The BigSheBang is a single barrel single malt whiskey, distilled in 1995 from 100% malted barley at Glenora Distillery in Nova Scotia. It matured for 30 years in new American oak, then moved to WhistlePig's Vermont farm in 2024 for a finish in Italian Vin Santo dessert wine casks.
It was bottled in 2025 at 45.2% (90.4 proof) and comes in a wooden display case bearing the WhistlePig coat of arms. It is the third release in WhistlePig's aged single malt series.
The nose is of caramelised figs, honeyed bread, dried apricot and toasted almond. The palate brings spiced orange peel, dark chocolate, butterscotch and rum raisins, and the finish is long and warm, with toasted oak, vanilla, leather and sweet tobacco.
