White Peak Wire Works Coastal Smoke Single Malt (70cl, 50%)

Wire Works Coastal Smoke is a single malt from White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, England. It is made from a lightly peated spirit distilled with two sets of cut points. The whisky was first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill, then finished in Islay whisky barrels. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. Two kinds of peat shape it. Mainland peat was used to malt the barley, so it is present in the distillate, while Islay peated whisky seasoned the barrels used for the final maturation.
