This is a single malt from White Peak distillery in Derbyshire, an edition of Wire Works finished in Moscatel wine casks. It is bottled at 53.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The lightly peated Wire Works malt forms the base, with the Moscatel finish adding layers of dried fruit, citrus and sweet, cakey spice.
The nose offers honeyed prunes, dried orange peel, liquorice and toasted nuts. On the palate come tangy citrus, vanilla, peaches and toasted marzipan, then creamy caramel and ginger. The finish brings oily malt, candied orange, toffee and a touch of nutmeg.
