Wild Life Sherry Cask Single Malt

Wild Life Sherry Cask is a Canadian single malt distilled at Wild Life Distillery in Canmore, Alberta, from 100% Alberta-grown barley. It is a limited release. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in European oak Oloroso sherry butts. It is deep amber with ruby highlights. The nose opens with dark raisins, dried figs and sticky dates, then toasted almonds, orange peel, dark cocoa and warm oak spice. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with plum jam, brown sugar and fruitcake before baking spices, dark chocolate and seasoned wood tannins. The finish is long and warm, with sherry sweetness, dried fruit and toasted oak.
