A Kentucky straight bourbon from the Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, bottled from a single barrel at 50.5% ABV (101 proof) in a one litre bottle.
Each bottle comes from one selected barrel of new charred American oak, so bottles can differ slightly from one another. Water is added to reach 101 proof, rather than bottling at barrel strength. The barrel number, warehouse and bottling date are shown on the label.
The nose offers oak, vanilla, caramel and leather, with honey and orange peel as it opens. The palate is full and round, and the finish is long and warm.
