Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Rye is a rye whiskey at 40% ABV (81 proof), in a 70cl bottle. It is aged for a minimum of four years.
A deeper "alligator" char is used to bring out the broad spice that sets rye apart from bourbon. It is described as standing up to any mixer in cocktails.
The nose is acutely spicy, with cereal-grain sweetness and a touch of citrus, followed by fruit and resin. The palate has big vanilla and spice, and the finish is bold and lingering, with rye and spice.
