Wilderness Trail Kentucky Straight Bourbon Bottled in Bond is a six-year-old bourbon from Wilderness Trail Distillery, one of the distillery's first six-year-old releases. It is made to the rye recipe, with 24% rye and 12% malted barley, using the distillery's sweet mashing process, and is bottled at 50% ABV.
The whiskey is drawn from some of the distillery's oldest stocks and was distilled on its original pot still.
The nose offers apple, cinnamon graham crackers and fresh-milled grain, with vanilla and cherry as it opens. The palate is oily, with cinnamon sugar, oak tannin, juicy apple and brown sugar, leading to a medium finish.
