Wilderness Trail Single Barrel Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 50%, or 100 proof. The mash bill is 64 percent corn, 24 percent wheat and 12 percent malted barley, one of the higher proportions of wheat used in a Kentucky bourbon.
Each bottle comes from a single barrel. The barrels are cooper select, toasted and charred to a number 4 level, and made with staves that were air-dried for 18 months. The spirit went into them at 110 proof and the bourbon was aged for between five and six years before bottling under US government supervision.
