Willett Pot Still Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle, sold in a distinctive bottle shaped like an alembic pot still. It first appeared in 2008 as a single barrel release and around 2015 became a small batch bourbon. The bourbon is matured in new charred American white oak barrels, and this bottle comes from batch 19C25.
The nose has summer fruits, ripe cherry and a little citrus around vanilla and dry oak, with buttered popcorn and honey behind. Honey and caramel lead the palate, with light spice and zesty citrus. The finish brings rye spice, cinnamon, buttered popcorn, vanilla and caramel.
