William Larue Weller is a wheated bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, bottled at a barrel-proof 64.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. This is the 2025 release. It is uncut and non-chill-filtered, and its strength changes from one annual release to the next.
It has been released every year since 2005 as part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. The mashbill of corn, wheat and malted barley uses wheat in place of rye.
The nose offers maple syrup, vanilla bean, pipe tobacco and cedar. The palate is full, with vanilla, cherry compote, toasted oak and baking spice. The finish is long, moving from sweet to dry with oak and dried fruit.
