Willowburn Moscatel Casks (70cl, 46%)

Willowburn Moscatel Casks is a single malt from the Hercynian Distilling Co., a family distillery in the Harz that has made malt whisky since 2002. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured from first day to last in hogsheads that previously held Moscatel wine in Malaga for at least five years. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, and the batch is limited to 1,152 bottles. It is described as harmonious, with malt, toffee and spice alongside milk chocolate, orange marmalade, apple and quince.
