Wilson & Morgan Speybride 2001/2015 (45.5%)

This is a blended malt from Wilson & Morgan, made from whisky of the same vintage from three distilleries near the River Spey: Glen Ord, Tamdhu and Glenfarclas. It was distilled in 2001, matured in old-style sherry casks and bottled in 2015 at cask strength, 45.5% ABV. The three malts each add something different: crispness and a hint of smoke from the first, creamy fullness from the second and flowering freshness from the third. The whisky is medium-bodied and complex, nuanced yet light on the tongue, with the typical Speyside aromas.
