This is an English single malt from Wire Works, lightly peated and finished in Moscatel wine casks. It is bottled at 53.6% in a 70cl bottle.
It belongs to the 2024 Wire Works Wine Series, in which the lightly peated house style is paired with wine casks from J. Dias. Dias originally coopered the barriques for their first use in the wine industry.
The nose offers dried apricots, flaked almonds, orange fondant, cherries and papaya. The palate brings marzipan, orange peel, gooseberries, elderflower and peaches and cream, with candied ginger. The finish runs to cranberries, nutmeg, marmalade and creme brulee.
