This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Woodford Reserve, a limited edition Distiller's Select released in 2025 to commemorate the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby. Woodford Reserve is the race's Presenting Sponsor. It comes in a 1 litre bottle at 45.2%.
The bottle carries a painting called Carrera Dinamica, or Dynamic Race, by Humberto Lahera, a Cuban-born artist based in Louisville.
The nose is rich with dried fruit, mint, oranges dusted with cocoa, and faint vanilla and tobacco spice. The palate is rich, chewy and smooth, with citrus, cinnamon, cocoa, toffee, caramel and chocolate. The finish is silky and almost creamy, ending long and warm.
