A Kentucky straight bourbon from Woodford Reserve, bottled at 45.2% in a 750ml bottle.
The mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malt, so the rye content is high. It is triple distilled, and the spirit goes into the barrel at a low proof and matures there for at least six years.
The nose is thick and creamy, with honey, spice, leather, cocoa and vanilla cream. The palate is full, with espresso beans, winter spice, ginger and plenty of rye, and the finish is long, with cereals and toasty oak spice.
