Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Madeira Cask Finish is the 20th edition of the series, released in Fall 2024, in a 700ml bottle. It is a Batch Proof bottling at 90.4 proof: barrels are blended into a batch and bottled at their actual proof, using the same grain bill and process as Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon.
It is composed of bourbon, rye and wheat whiskey, each finished separately in Madeira casks, then blended with unfinished wheat whiskey before bottling.
Chestnut in colour, it has a nose of dark cherries, brown sugar and candied oranges with clove and nutmeg. The palate brings raisin and dried cranberries fading to walnut and baking spice, and the finish is long with candied walnut.
