Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 45.2%)

Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select is a Kentucky straight bourbon made at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, on a site where bourbon has been made since 1812. The mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. The spirit is triple-distilled in copper pot stills after a six-day fermentation in cypress wood fermenters. It is then blended with column still whiskey from the Brown-Forman Distillery in Louisville and matured in heat-cycled stone warehouses. It is bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The nose brings dried fruit, mint, orange and cocoa. The palate is rich and rounded, with citrus, cinnamon, toffee and warming spice. The finish is long and warm, with gentle rye spice and dry oak.
