Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a bourbon matured in two separate barrels. The first is charred oak. The second is deeply toasted before a light charring, which adds a soft, sweet oak character. It is bottled at 43.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied, with vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple and spice. The finish is long and creamy, with lingering honeyed apple.
