Woodford Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon, made at a distillery that is a National Historic Landmark and where bourbon has been made since 1812. It is bottled in a 750ml bottle.
The flavour is built from more than 200 detectable notes, ranging from grain and wood to sweet aromatics, spice, fruit and florals.
The nose is rich with dried fruit, mint and oranges dusted with cocoa, with faint vanilla and tobacco spice. The palate is rich, chewy and smooth, with citrus, cinnamon, cocoa, toffee, caramel and chocolate. The finish is silky and almost creamy at first, with a long, warm tail.
