Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Malt is a Kentucky whisky bottled at 45.2% in a 70cl bottle. Its grain recipe is 51% malted barley, 47% corn and 2% rye, and it is aged in new charred oak barrels, which sets it apart from a typical all-malt whisky.
Warm umber in colour, it has a soft, nutty nose with caramel, milk chocolate, apple, dried and tropical fruit, brown spice, mint and toasted oak. The palate brings dark chocolate, caramel-coated nuts, cocoa powder, toasted coconut and bright oak. The finish is nutty, with subtly sweet chocolate malt.
