Woodford Reserve – Master's Collection Historic Barrel Entry (70cl, 45.2%)

Historic Barrel Entry is the 2022 release in the Woodford Reserve Master's Collection, a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Master Distiller Chris Morris and Assistant Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall drew on the history of the Woodford County distillery, where innovative practices were developed in the 1830s. The newly distilled whiskey went into the barrel at 100 proof, a point that has shifted over the past two centuries and that plays an important part in maturation. The result is described as rich and darkly robust.
