Woodinville Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

This is a straight bourbon from Woodinville Whiskey Co. in Washington State. It is made from grain grown on the Omlin family farm in Quincy, and it was named Craft Whiskey of the Year at the American Distilling Institute Craft Spirits Awards. The whiskey is mashed, distilled and barrelled in Woodinville, then aged in Central Washington, where large temperature swings draw flavour from the oak. The barrel wood is air-seasoned for 18 months, then toasted and heavily charred before filling. The nose has crème brûlée and spice cabinet. The palate shows caramel, dark chocolate and vanilla bean, and the finish is sweet and lingering.
