Woodinville Whiskey Co. – Straight Rye (75cl)

A straight rye whiskey from Woodinville Whiskey Co. in Washington, in a 75cl bottle. It is made entirely from rye grown on the Omlin family farm in Quincy, Washington. The grain is mashed, distilled and filled into barrel at the Woodinville distillery. The barrels then travel over the Cascade Mountains to barrel houses in Central Washington, where wide temperature swings help the oak give up its flavour. The barrel wood is seasoned outdoors for eighteen months, then toasted and heavily charred. The nose offers cinnamon, clove and fruit leather. The palate brings caramel, wood spice and honey, and the finish is long.
