World Whiskey Society's Ducks Unlimited Special Edition is a 10 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, released in 2025 in partnership with the conservation organisation Ducks Unlimited. A portion of proceeds supports the group's work protecting waterfowl habitat.
It is bottled at cask strength without cut or filtration, and each bottle is individually numbered. The bottle is sealed with a sculpted pewter flying duck topper and sits in a hand finished wooden case styled after the engraved stock of a shotgun.
The nose offers dark caramel, toasted oak and vanilla bean, with dried cherry and leather. The palate is full and coating, with brown sugar, dark toffee and baked apple. The finish is very long and warming.
Tasting Notes
Dark caramel, toasted oak, vanilla bean, dried cherry, cinnamon, leather and a soft hint of pipe tobacco
Full bodied and coating, with brown sugar, dark toffee, baked apple and clove, then cocoa, dark cherry and polished oak
