Wormtub 12 Year Old Single Cask Batch 6 is a Speyside single malt, bottled at cask strength at 57.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It finished its maturation in a single first-fill oloroso sherry hogshead.
The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour, so its deep tone comes from the sherry cask alone.
The nose offers sultanas, dense fruit cake, milk chocolate raisins and tangy marmalade, with a good measure of baking spice. On the palate, rich, oily malt and nuts sit alongside cured meat, spiced fruit loaf and sherried oak. The finish is long, with oak, sherry, currants, preserved walnuts and a touch of savoury spice.
