Wormtub Cask Strength 10 Year Old (Batch 5) (70cl, 56.1%)

This is Batch 5 of Wormtub's 10 year old single malt, a Speyside whisky bottled at a cask strength of 56.1% in a 70cl bottle. After 10 years' maturation, the whisky was reracked into first-fill sherry casks to complete its ageing. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colour, so its deep colour comes entirely from the casks. The nose is sherried fruit cake with sweet spice, flamed orange peel and earthy black tea. The palate brings red berries, walnuts and marmalade over robust malt, with hints of cured biltong and dried cranberries. Salted caramel, candied fruit and oily malt carry the long finish.
