Writers' Tears Red Head Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Writers' Tears Red Head is an Irish single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV with no added colouring. It matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks, and its name refers to the reddish tint that sherry maturation gives it. The brand is a tribute to great Irish writers and poets. Red Head is the single malt of the Writers' Tears family, whose classic bottling is a blended pot still whiskey. On the nose there is sherry sweetness, marzipan, ripe fruit and a little wood. The palate brings vanilla, bitter almond, dark fruit, malt and sherry, and the finish is long with a light sweetness.
