Wyoming Whiskey – Old Faithful 10 Year Old Straight Bourbon (75cl, 54%)

Old Faithful is a ten year old wheated straight bourbon from Wyoming Whiskey, bottled at 54% ABV (108 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of three hand selected barrels, which gave roughly 500 bottles, matured in new charred American oak. The release honours the Yellowstone geyser and F. Jay Haynes, the park's first official photographer, whose image is on the label. With no rye in the mashbill, wheat sits alongside the corn. It pours mahogany. The nose brings deep red fruits and dark chocolate. On the palate come baking spices, orange peel, toffee and Black Forest cake with crushed almonds, and the finish carries cacao powder, vanilla bean, toasted spice and dried sultana.
