This is a 30 year old Macallan from the 1993 vintage, released under the XOP name.
The nose is led by sherry aromas of raisins, plums and figs, with lemon and orange peel. On the palate there is dark chocolate with pepper and coffee, alongside toasted brioche, leather and subtle dried fruits.
The finish is long, with tannins, cloves and orange marmalade.
