Yamazaki – 12 Year Old

Yamazaki 12 Year Old is the classic age-statement single malt from Japan's first malt whisky distillery, founded in 1923 in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture. It is built from selected components matured in American oak, Spanish oak and Japanese Mizunara oak. Mizunara is a rare Japanese oak that is difficult to work with and adds a distinctive aromatic complexity. The nose brings peach, pineapple, grapefruit, clove, candied orange and vanilla, with Mizunara in the background. The palate is coconut, cranberry and butter, and the finish is long, with sweet ginger and cinnamon.
