Yamazaki 18 Year Old is a single malt Japanese whisky from the Yamazaki Distillery near Osaka, founded by Suntory's Shinjiro Torii in 1923. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky is matured for 18 years in three types of cask: American oak, Spanish sherry oak and Mizunara Japanese oak.
The nose combines citrus peel, plum, dark chocolate and Mizunara incense, with dried fruit from the sherry casks. The palate is full-bodied, with orchard fruit, dark cherry, caramel, subtle smoke and sandalwood. The finish is long, with spice, incense and warm oak.
