This is a Yamazaki 12 year old Pure Malt from Japan, an older version from the 1990s. It comes in its gift box.
The nose is rich in fruit, with apple and pear, light floral notes and vanilla. The palate is round and smooth, showing plenty of malt character with subtle layers of oak and spice. The finish is long, with sweet fruit and vanilla.
