Yamazaki 12 Year Old is a single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, Japan's oldest malt whisky distillery. It is matured in a combination of Japanese Mizunara oak, American white oak and Spanish sherry casks.
The nose has peach, pineapple, grapefruit, clove, candied orange and vanilla, with Mizunara. On the palate come coconut, cranberry, butter, honey and tropical fruit with light baking spices. The finish is long and warming, with sweet ginger, cinnamon and Japanese oak.
