Yamazaki 12 Year Old is a Japanese single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. It was introduced in 1984 and was the first Japanese single malt to be marketed seriously.
The colour is pure gold, and the nose brings peach, pineapple, grapefruit, clove, candied orange, vanilla and Mizunara, the Japanese oak. On the palate come coconut, cranberry and butter, and the finish is long, with sweet ginger and cinnamon.
