Yamazaki is Suntory's flagship single malt, made at Japan's first and oldest malt distillery. This is the 18 year old, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
It is made from carefully blended components aged in American, Spanish and Japanese Mizunara oak, and has a coppery bronze colour.
The nose offers raisin, apricot, café au lait and chocolate. On the palate come black chocolate, strawberry jam, fudge and spice, leading to a long finish of ripe fruit.
