This is an 18 year old single malt from the Yamazaki Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. Yamazaki was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii, the founder of Suntory, and is described as the birthplace of Japanese whisky. The whisky is deep amber in colour. The house character is built around fruit and Mizunara, the Japanese oak. The nose offers raisin, apricot, cafe au lait and Mizunara. On the palate there are blackberry, strawberry jam and dark chocolate. The finish is long and smooth, with some spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
