Yamazaki 25 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from Suntory, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It is a brilliant amber in colour.
Mizunara character runs through it, from the smoky incense on the nose to the sandalwood notes of the first sip, and it returns in the finish.
The nose combines mature kaki persimmon and ume plum. On the palate the persimmon deepens alongside subtle sweetness, tart plum and gentle ginger spice. The finish is long, with Mizunara smokiness and lingering, lightly sweet wood.
