Yamazaki 25 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from Yamazaki Distillery, the home of Suntory whisky. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle and is a brilliant amber in colour.
Mizunara runs through its tasting notes. The nose opens with smoky incense, followed by mature kaki persimmon and ume plum. The palate starts with smoky Mizunara and sandalwood, then deepens into gentle persimmon sweetness, tart plum and a little ginger spice. The finish is long, with Mizunara smokiness and subtly sweet wood notes that linger.
