Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2024 Edition is a non-vintage Japanese malt whisky that marks a century of Suntory and looks ahead to the next hundred years. It is a blend of malt spirits aged in Mizunara and Spanish oak barrels, and has a reddish amber colour. Yamazaki was founded in 1923 by Suntory's founder, Shinjiro Torii.
The nose offers the sweetness of dried persimmons with spices including cloves. The palate is mellow, with orange marmalade and the gentle earthy sweetness of red beans, followed by smouldering spices and zesty orange peel.
