Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2026 Edition is a limited single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery in Osaka, bottled at 43%. It celebrates the natural surroundings of the distillery, which was founded in 1923, and focuses on its water, climate and natural conditions.
The whisky is assembled from a selection of Yamazaki malts, including whiskies matured in Mizunara Japanese oak and Spanish oak casks.
The nose is sweet and gently spiced, with dried persimmon and clove. The palate is full, with orange marmalade, azuki red bean sweetness, oak and warming spice. The finish is long, smoky and spicy.
