Yamazaki Suntory Custom Japanese Blended Whisky (1960s) (72cl, 42%)

Yamazaki Suntory Custom is a Japanese blended whisky from the 1960s, made from Yamazaki and other whiskies. The blend contains both malt and grain whisky and was bottled at 84 proof, which is 42% ABV, in a 72cl bottle. Suntory moved its grain production to the distillery now named Chita in the 1970s, so this blend comes from the years before that change. It is described as smooth and soft, with cream, vanilla, apple pastry and cherry. The finish is short, with cinnamon, melon, pineapple and vanilla.
