Yamazakura Asaka 2023 Edition is a Japanese single malt combined with non-pitched Asaka sake from bourbon barrels. It is non-chill filtered and colourless, with a light body and a moderate vanilla aroma.
The nose offers white grape, kumquat, yogurt and cookie, with a faint peat note. On the palate there are milk sponge cake, vanilla wafer and plum, with a sweet and sour balance. The finish is brief but firm, with light peat as the acidity fades.
