Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon Toasted Oak Staves is a 100 proof (50%) bourbon from Limestone Branch Distillery, in a 75cl bottle. It was created by seventh-generation distiller Stephen Beam.
It begins as Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged in new charred American oak barrels, and then spends a finishing period with toasted oak staves.
The nose is sweet vanilla and honey with caramelised sugar, toasted marshmallow and soft oak. The palate is creamy and full-bodied, with toffee, butterscotch, charred oak, cinnamon and cocoa. The finish is long, with caramel, spice and oak warmth.
