1770 Triple Distilled is a single malt from Glasgow Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It comes from the first single malt distillery in Glasgow for more than a century.
The spirit is triple distilled in copper pot stills in the Lowland style. It was matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and virgin oak, and it is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose is sweet vanilla custard, orchard fruits and honeycomb, with floral touches. The palate is smooth and creamy, with caramelised pear, butterscotch and sweet malt. The finish is long, with vanilla, gentle wood spice and a little citrus zest.
