This 1969 Old Cabin Still is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the original Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville, bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) in a figural ceramic decanter. The size is 4/5 quart, about 757ml, the pre-metric US bottle size. Stitzel-Weller opened in 1935 and closed in 1992. Old Cabin Still was one of its house brands, alongside labels such as Old Fitzgerald and W.L. Weller. The decanter is hand-painted: a long-bearded Kentucky moonshiner sits beside a rustic whiskey barrel, finished in blue, green, cream and brown. It comes with its original label, a hanging tag and a vintage red federal tax strip.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
