23rd Street Distillery – Batch No.1 Australian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is the first batch of single malt from 23rd Street Distillery in Australia, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Australian pale malt, distilled in the distillery's own twin copper pots. The whisky was aged in first-fill ex-bourbon American oak over four Riverland summers. The colour is summer golden. The nose offers lime peel, blossom and candied orange over butterscotch, cereal and spice. On the palate there is more citrus with nutmeg, vanilla, allspice and honey, and a lingering sweetness reminiscent of dessert pastries.
