36 Short – Single Malt Whisky (50cl)

36 Short is an Australian single malt whisky in a 50cl bottle. It is made from Australian malted barley and aquifer water, and distilled in a 1200 litre copper pot still named Pando. The spirit matures first in locally sourced Shiraz barrels, then moves into Kentucky Bourbon barrels, before a final rest back in the Shiraz. The Australian climate speeds up the maturation. The Shiraz barrels are described as adding a peppery character, while the Bourbon barrels bring smoothness and fruity notes.
