36 Short Single Malt Whisky (50cl, 45%)

36 Short is an Australian single malt made from Australian malted barley, with water from the aquifer beneath the distillery. It is distilled in a 1200 litre copper pot still called Pando and bottled at 45% abv in a 50cl bottle. The whisky matures in three stages: first in locally sourced shaven and charred American oak barrels, then in Kentucky bourbon barrels, and finally back in Shiraz barrels. The nose is sweet and fruity, with lime marmalade, fresh-cut pine and tropical fruit. The palate shows tangy dried fruit and vanilla bean, and the finish is long, with dried fruit, apricot and peach.
