5Nines Sherry Lightly Peat is a cask strength single malt whisky, bottled at 59.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Australian grown malt and aged in a French oak cask that held Spanish Pedro Ximenez sherry. The nose opens with light smoke, then ginger, macerated cherries, dark chocolate and a ferny forest note. The palate has a big bite and a deep, mellow warmth, with orange, pepper and plum. The finish is warm and peppery, with a tingling sweetness.
