78 Degrees Native Grain is an Australian grain whiskey made with hand-harvested weeping grass, a native cereal cultivated by Indigenous Australians for tens of thousands of years. It is described as the first whiskey in the world made with Australian native cereal grains, and the weeping grass adds a dry, grassy spice. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46.2% and shows French oak influence. On the nose, intense cereal and apricot kernel sit alongside caramel, toffee and toasted malt. The palate is rich and creamy, with fresh red berries, stone fruit and spice leading to an earthy, almost ginger note. The finish is long, with dried apricots and kitchen spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
